Celebrate Christmas with a Wine, Twilight Train or Cruise Event
It’s never too early to begin planning the 2018 office Christmas party and those who procrastinate often find that they’re left with few opportunities and only ho-hum options. There are multiple possibilities for yuletide celebrations, but the best venues and most exciting experiences like winery tours, twilight train parties or the Yarra River boat cruise parties are booked months in advance.
A glass of wine is a great way to break the ice at corporate parties or share good times with friends and family. Daytime and night time winery events in the Yarra Valley are a wonderful way to celebrate the Christmas season. Exclusive and non-exclusive packages are available to accommodate groups of multiple sizes.
Wine functions include beverages and chef-prepared meals that can be tailored for vegetarians and those with food allergies. Guests can dance to a band on the outdoor deck if they like, listen to the music and enjoy stimulating conversation. The wine events are only available Friday, Dec. 7 and Saturday, Dec. 8.
Merry-makers can also take to the water for a festive holiday cruise. Food, drinks, entertainment and dancing are all provided. Christmas Cruises depart from the Docklands and travel to Williamsport and beyond along the Yarra River. The scenic cruises offer views of the St. Kilda skyline, weather permitting. Cruises are available Friday, Nov. 23 through Sat. Dec. 15 and sell out quickly each year.
Holiday celebrants can also ride the rails on the unique Christmas Twilight Train. The four-carriage train offers a bar, dance floor and DJ, cocktail car with a band, and a quiet compartment from which to drink in the views. Individuals are free to move among the cars and experience all the delights the train has to offer.
A tasty selection of food and drinks are available to tempt the palate. The Christmas Twilight Train operates from Saturday, Nov. 24 through Saturday, Dec. 15 and always book quickly. A limited number of other dates are available upon request for larger groups.
