"Grape Grazing 2009" Festival in the Yarra Valley

Dreamscape Tours are offering up to 3 extra glasses of wine for free at selected wineries.

A summer celebration of sensational wine, food and musical talent which includes Funk, Jazz, Latin, Irish, Rock & Roll and International music. Green, leafy vines, laden with ripening grapes carpet the valley at this time as harvest preparations go on hold, just for this weekend!! The wineries open their doors for a fun filled day of activities, food & wines, music, dancing and performers.

"Grape Grazing" tickets to the Yarra Valley includes:
1. Luxury coach transport into three top class wineries.

Winery information:

1. ACACIA RIDGE: Come and enjoy the friendly, rustic ambiance of Acacia Ridge. Music- Wilbur Wilde, Jerome Smith (Divinyls, Billy Thorpe, Keith Richards) and Ray Tosti-Guerra (Hunters & Collectors) perform favourite 80s, 90s and current hits. Food-Scott Pickett, from top Melbourne restaurant The Point, will provide the option of Seared Yellowfin Tuna Nicoise Salad or Grilled King Island Porterhouse, Tapenade Sauce and Grain Mustard Potato Salad. Wine- We serve unique premium wines including ice cold Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay. Also Shiraz and Cabernet Merlot at affordable prices.

Our Notes: Medium size venues, with one of the best music line-ups. Extra glass of wine for free, priority que for food and free cheese platters.

2. BALGOWNIE ESTATE: With vineyards, cellar door and an integrated resort and spa in the heart of the Yarra Valley, Balgownie Estate produce some of the best chardonnay and pinot noir in Victoria. Food- Enjoy slow roasted tender beef scotch fillet, grilled teriyaki chicken Maryland, smoked Buxton trout – all with mesculan and vegetables on French baked tortillas – or try a selection of cheeses with condiments and Estate baked fruit bread. Music- Relax on our lawns while taking in a performance of swing and jazz from Australia’s pre-eminent jazz diva GRACE KNIGHT and band. Wine- NV Sparkling Pinot Noir/Chardonnay, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvigon.

3. DOMAIN CHANDON: Domaine Chandon has become one of the must see destinations in the Yarra Valley. Music- Engaging live music and appearances by Melbourne’s foremost performance artists will entertain you throughout the day. Food- Summer calamari salad. Wine- Chandon Cuvée Riche, Chandon Vintage Brut 2005, Chandon Sparkling Pinot Shiraz, Green Point Sauvignon Blanc 2007, Green Point Rosé 2007, Green Point Chardonnay 2006, Green Point Shiraz 2005

4. HELEN'S HILL: Set amongst gum trees with lawns, shade, wine, food, music and fun for all. Wine- N.V. Brut, 07 Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Merlot, Shiraz. Food- Indian butter chicken, saffron basmati rice, cucumber raita and pappadams or Beef skewer with Greek style marinated vegetables and pitta bread. Cheese platters and sweet things available all day. Music- Non stop music all weekend with “Look Sharp” and “Big Deal” – dance to great sounds or relax on the lawn.

5. ROCHFORD WINES: Our amphitheatre and spacious lawn will see you relaxed and grazing on silky wines and fine food. Wine-Pinot/Chardonnay Sparkling, YV Sauvignon Blanc, YV Chardonnay, YV Cabernet, YV Shiraz. Food- Yellow Fin Tuna fillet and fresh salad drizzled with honey mustard. Perhaps our vegetarian Mediterranean Frittata, or flavoursome Black Angus and Pinot Pie with fresh leaves salad and honey mustard. Temptation also from cakes and pastries made in-house. Music- See Plastique performing both days, plus dance DJ. Special Surprise Sunday!

6. ST HUBERTS: Three of the most prestigious brands Coldstream Hills, St Huberts & Yarra Ridge at one of the largest entertainment venues in the Yarra. The picturesque St Huberts Vineyard is the perfect place to party the weekend away with expansive shaded lawn with great wine, pumping sound and fantastic food. . Wine: Sparkling, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Shiraz, Merlot & Cabernet Sauvignon. Food- Beer battered fish, salt & pepper calamari with chips or grilled chicken fillet over vegetable & soba noodle salad with mirrin dressing and wasabi peas. Music: Kick start the day with the extremely retro “80s R US”, the music doesn’t stop with “Louie and the Party Boyz” featuring Louie’s alter ego "Robbie" from 2pm.

Please Note:
1. Itineraries for groups and individuals are subject to availability from the G.G. Committee. There are standard itineraries to choose from.
2. If you are going to organize a group, confirm numbers and collect money from guest as early as possible. Final payment and numbers are required the latest, 22nd January 2009.
3. For non-drinkers wine vouchers may be exchanged for coffee, tea or soft drinks.

4. BYO food and drink is not able to be brought into the wineries/coach apart from water.
5. Buses generally will only be able to stop and depart, for safety reasons from the designated pick up/drop off locations.
6. It is the responsibility of all individuals to arrive at the pick up locations, and back onto the coach 5 minutes prior to the departure.
7. If you would like your own personalized itinerary and/or coach book well in advanced to avoid disappointment. (minimum of 50+ people)
8. Groups wishing to be all on the one bus are to be located at ONLY ONE of the designated pick up locations as choosen by your organiser.
9. Your tickets, passes and vouchers will be handed out on the day at your allocated pick up location.
10. Grape Grazing tickets are non-refundable but are transferable to another individual, lost tickets are not able to be reissued.
11. Larger groups are able to organize an alternative pickup (40+ people)
12. Essentials for the Grape Grazing Traveller: Rug, sun screen, hat, sun glasses, additional water and a smile!!
13. Drink in moderation and please don't drink and drive home after the festival!
